Saturday July 18th, 2009

9:00AM - Announcements and speakers, including the national Veterans for Peace president, Mike Ferner. 

10:30AM - Panel Discussion featuring Helen Benedict, Professor of Journalism at Columbia University and author of The Lonely Soldier. The discussion will be led by Chante Wolf and members of Iraq Veterans Against the War (IVAW).

12:00PM - Break for lunch. Music by Roger Culbertson. Bill Habedank would like to introduce a new peace song around the campfire entitled "The Wind of Peace".

1:30PM - Presentation by Chris Hedges, Winner of the 2002 Pulitzer Prize and 2002 Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism; Senior Fellow at the Nation Institute in New York City; Author of War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning, Collateral Damage and Empire of Illusion. 3:30PM - Panel Discussion featuring Chris Hedges; former FBI 9/11 whistle-blower Coleen Rowley; Electronic Intifada, Electronic Iraq and Electronic Lebanon co-founder Nigel Parry; and writer and activist Jeff Nygaard.

5:30PM - Pork or vegetarian dinner.
